Film

God Bless the Broken Road tells the story of a young mother named Amber Hill.

Amber's dream of an ideal life with her family shatters when she loses her husband to the war in Afghanistan. Two years later, she finds herself in a struggle to save her home while providing for her nine-year-old daughter, Bree. When up-and-coming racecar driver, Cody Jackson, rolls into town, Amber and Bree become wrapped up in his pedal-to-the-metal way of life. Amber struggles with Cody's attention and withdraws to protect herself and Bree from the dangers of becoming too close to someone who lives life on the edge.

The movie honors our brave men and women in uniform and recognizes the sacrifices made by military families. 5% of the film's proceeds will support disabled American veterans. The film weaves together themes of country music (named after the hit Rascal Flatts' song) and racecar driving, and underscores the importance of family and community. This is a faith-based film, and though I am not religious myself, I identify strongly with the film's values of persistence and hard work through times of adversity.

The film was produced by Andy Fraser, directed by Harold Cronk, and stars Lindsay Pulsipher, Makenzie Moss, and Andrew Walker. I had the privilege of executive producing.
